"The extravagant gesture is the stuff of creation" by Alok Hsu Kwang-han
Alok Hsu Kwang-han taught sociology of religion and psychology of transcendence, and translated and published 20 books on meditation in China. From his 20 journeys to India Alok synthesized a personal wisdom practice of healing and awakening that combines understanding of society and culture, the evolution of western psychotherapy, eastern Meditation practices, and a new manifestation of Zen as art. Since 1998, he has traveled the world giving exhibitions and demonstrations of “Zen as art” in museums and galleries and teaching workshops in “Zen Creativity and the Art of life and Death.”
Since turning 77 last year, to pass on the creativity that has been gifted to him and evolved through him,” Alok began giving one-to-one immersion tutorial retreats to experienced artists in his home studio in Sedona, AZ.
